an e-"Coffee-table" book... of a country where people hardly drink coffee...
~ thanks to Passang Tshering, for this interesting "starter" line ~

After some thought, decided to pick this photo for the 'cover' of this digital album.
I took this photo when I was at Yotong-la, on my way back after visiting Bumthang in March 2005. The snow came as a surprise... we did not expect that! Of course, I did not give it a miss... and had some fun. And yes, and took this photo :D
In fact, although I did not go round the country, I visited quite a fair bit of places - to its central and all the way to the south, to the Phuentsholing-Jaigon border.
Yes, I took lots of photos, too. Taking as many chances as possible, to capture the beauty of the country, the warmth of the people, the culture and its history. I never get tired going through these photos... Indeed, each time I see them, I see something new... I recall something beautiful.
When I first returned to Singapore, I dreamt of publishing the photos into a coffee book. However, did not find time to materialise it.
This year, took sometime to re-organise these photos and decided to put them up. Have added a couple of chinese characters to describe it - my interpretation and my thoughts and emotions when looking at them.
The key is... to share the beautiful country with all...
and dedicate this to my friends and students in the Bhutan.
